Course participants are provided with music, instructional materials, and practice audio files on CD. The CD learning tools make keeping up with course and improving every day fun and easy, especially for those students who do not read music. Participants are expected to attend all five weekly sessions, and complete the very easy homework assignments. Those who attend all five sessions will not only earn a Certificate of Completion, each of them will sing much better for having completed this valuable program.

• Grouping students into sections by musical part.
• Introduction to Homework-CD Lesson 1-How to use the practice tools.

Session 2, Monday, Oct 20, 2008: Learning the Music

• Warm up- Three Steps to Singing (Music Director Keith Harris)
• Sectional Instruction and Rehearsal–
• Rehearsal with all four parts (Assistant Director)
• Homework: CD lesson 2- Adding Words to Music.

Session 3, Monday, Oct 27, 2008: The Rehearsal Process

• Warm up- Three Steps to Singing (Assistant Director)
• Fine Tuning Sectional Rehearsals (Section Leaders)
• Four part rehearsal (Music Director Keith Harris)
• Homework: CD lesson 3- Memorizing Music.

Session 4, Tuesday, Nov 3, 2008: Practicing for Performance

• Warm up with the Chordsmen (Music Director Keith Harris)
• Performance practice and Final prep for Graduation (Keith)
• Homework: CD Lesson 4- Preparation and Memory for Performance.

Session 5, Monday, Nov 10, 2008: Graduation Performance

• Warm up with the Chordsmen
• Learn 2 Sing Program Graduation Performance
• Westchester Chordsmen Mini-Performance
• Finale: One song performed as an entire group!
• Presentation of Completion Certificates and Awards
• After-Show: “Afterglow” celebration.
